Personnel Management

Most classes comprise students and a teacher (or teachers). Sometimes there are also teaching assistants. Harmonia supports this common classroom model by providing three different roles, namely Instructor, Students, and Teaching Assistants. Each role has its own set of privilege to the course resources, including course information, personnel, assignment, and grade book.

Instructors

Instructors are the leaders of their courses. In a Harmonia course, instructors can:

  • View and edit course information
  • Add / remove teaching assistants and additional instructors
  • Assign students to different T.A. sections
  • Approve / reject students' course enrollment requests
  • Create / configure / assign homework assignments
  • View students' homework records
  • View students' finished homework files with Harmonia app's grading result and markups
  • View / post on the course forum

Students

Students in a Harmonia course can:

  • View course information
  • View information about homework assignments
  • Download assignment files in the Harmonia app through its cloud menu
  • Submit finished homework assignments
  • View Harmonia app's grading result and markups of their submitted homework
  • View their own assignment records
  • View / post on the course forum

Teaching assistants

Teaching assistants in a Harmonia course can:

  • View course information
  • View information about homework assignments
  • View assignments records of students in their TA sections
  • View / post on the course forum
